New Zealand's Top Outdoor Activities

Skydive Queenstown Experience

Skydive Queenstown Experience
Skydive Queenstown Experience

After a 15-minute scenic flight to level, you will be pushed to the plane's edge before being tossed out! Keep your head high, look at your skydive photographer, and drink in the breathtaking scenery. Following an exhilarating freefall, you can take a 4-5 minute parachute journey back to the skydive drop zone. Queenstown, known as the world's adrenaline city, is one of the best spots in the world to fling yourself out into the world below you, overlooking views that stretch to The Remarkables and the turquoise waters of Lake Wakatip, whether you're a seasoned skydiver or this is your first time.

Tandem Skydiving originated in Queenstown, New Zealand, which is now recognized as the "Adventure Capital of the World." Queenstown on New Zealand's South Island is the premier location for 'Jumping out of a perfectly decent Aeroplane'! Your Queenstown skydiving adventure begins at the NZONE Skydive Centre, 35 Shotover Street, right in the heart of Queenstown. This is your check-in location for the best skydive in Queenstown; after registering and receiving a video briefing in our cutting-edge cinema space, you can choose your photo and video choices.

How to get there

If this is not a pre-booked activity, you need to go straight to the meeting area as the tour provider provides free shuttle to the Skydiving zone. This activity will cost you more or less $220.00. There are many tour agencies to get this from but personally prefer Klook.

Queenstown Quad Bike Adventure

Queenstown Quad Bike Adventure

A quad bike tour will take you to gnarly off-road routes, breathtaking landscapes, and a buzz that will make you smile from ear to ear. Beautiful nature walks, steep hill climbs and rocky gorges, stream bridges, and ancient gold mining sites are all yours to explore.
Queenstown has some of the best off-road biking in New Zealand, with trips for newcomers, families, and experienced cyclists. Local guides will outfit you with safety clothing and teach you the ropes so that you can travel comfortably regardless of your level of expertise.

On four wheels, this is the most fun you can have! Begin your quad bike tour with a hotel pickup that takes you to the trailhead, which is just 15 minutes from central Queenstown. A licensed trained teacher will supply you with a full range of protective equipment and footwear, then brief you on the safety precautions and teach you how to ride your bike. You will then participate in a brief training module, and once completed, you will be able to walk the off-road trails! Enjoy panoramic views of Queenstown for 2.5 hours and incredible photo chances that you won't find anywhere else. Splash over puddles and soar over molehills.
This activity would normally costs about $192.00.

Christchurch Tram

Christchurch Tram

The Christchurch Trams have a one-of-a-kind ride that combines tradition and sightseeing. Our wonderfully preserved heritage trams are one of the city's most famous attractions, appealing to both locals and tourists alike – and don't forget, kids ride free! The Canterbury Museum & Botanic Gardens, Turanga and Margaret Mahy Playground are must-sees for families, and the many grocery shops, pubs, and eateries at The Terrace, Cashel Street & Riverside Market, Arts Centre, and New Regent Street provide excellent shopping and dining opportunities for everyone.

Check off the top things to do in Christchurch on the most famous mode of transportation: the retro Christchurch Tram! Traveling slower than a taxi, you'll have the time to enjoy your surroundings, you'll cover more distance than driving, and you won't have to worry about finding parking. The Christchurch Tram is the ideal mode of transportation for exploring the area. Along with its beautiful historic interior, you'll feel transported back to 1882, when the city's first steam trams roamed the streets! You can hop on and off whenever you wish, and if you're tired of exploring the area, you can easily take a scenic trip and hop off when you're ready to go again!
This activity will cost you about $18.00.

Fox Glacier Heli Hike Experience

Fox Glacier Heli Hike Experience

On one of our heli hiking trips, you will be able to experience the immense scale and expansive majesty of the Fox Glacier. Warm clothes, sun care, snacks to keep you energized, and a spirit of fun is all you need to enjoy your time on the glacier! The Flying Fox Heli Hike Tour combines thrills and adrenaline as you pilot a helicopter across the breathtaking expanses of New Zealand nature and hike on the Fox Glacier. Get a unique perspective on Victoria Falls, which is the melting river of the underground Victoria Glacier.

Through taking a helicopter to your starting point, you will be able to navigate and discover a section of the glacier that is not readily accessible to the general public and where nature works hardest to make beautiful ice caves and arches. Think about the mighty river of ice that flows 12 kilometers from New Zealand's highest peaks to the rainforest below as you hike. Each guide explores a particular region of the glacier and its many changing characteristics, so no two tours are alike. This activity will cost you about $325.00.
